Now that 2013 is coming to an end you have
to wonder what the New Year holds for TV viewing. There are some shows that are going to be
coming to an end in 2014, but there are also a number of new shows and new
seasons of our favourites.
New
Year’s Day
New Year’s Day 2014 has one show that
everyone has been waiting for. On 1
January 2014 Sherlock is coming back to our screens on BBC 1. There has been a teaser mini-episode out
since Christmas Day, but this is the real deal.
The Empty Hearse airs for the first time at 9PM on BBC 1 and it is definitely
a must see!
January
2014
Silent Witness will be coming back to BBC 2
on 2 January. This is the start of the
17 series of the show and one that many people are looking forward to.
A new year is simply not a new year if you
don’t get to celebrate it with Big Brother.
The Celebrity Big Brother 2014 season will be starting on 3 January on
Channel 5 at 9PM. There will be a number
of favourites about as well as a new batch of housemates that we can sit and
watch mill about the house.
Splash with Tom Daley is also making a
reappearance on 4 January. The show will
be on ITV at 7:20pm which honestly is about the oddest time for any show to
possibly start.
The Voice UK is also coming back on 11
January with new contestants and a couple of new judges. You will be able to catch this on BBC 1 at
7PM.
Closer to the end of January you will be
able to see the second season of The Following.
This will be on Sky Atlantic and airs at 10PM.
February
2014
February 2014 sees 2 shows coming back to
our screens. The first is The Walking
Dead which comes back to FOX for the fourth season part 2. The show will be aired at 9PM on 10 February
2014.
The other show that is coming back is
Dallas. This is the third season of
Dallas and it should be hitting the TV screen on 25 February at 10PM.
April
2014
April 2014 is a month that I am looking
forward to in terms of TV watching. This
is mainly due to the fact that Game of Thrones season 4 will be coming
out. A lot of people that I know have
been waiting for this almost as long as they have been waiting for
Sherlock. Of course, Game of Thrones is
not the only TV show that will premier in April.
Mad Men will be coming back for its seventh
season on Sky Atlantic and should be aired at 9PM.
Sky Atlantic is also where Game of Thrones
will be aired at 10PM. April is going to
be a good month in terms of new seasons.
June
2014
June will see the fifth season of Got to
Dance coming out on Sky 1. This will be
aired at the more family friendly time of 6pm which is a major contrast to all
of the other shows that we are looking forward to seeing.
Well that’s all we have for the first half
of 2014. When more info comes out about
what can be expected for the second half of the year we will be there to tell
you.
