Spoilers ahead!!!!!!!!
Today we saw some continuations of plots and the creation of a few new arcs. So where to start? The best place would be with the continuation.
The continuation was on the story of Lynsey and Silas. Silas continues to be creepy/stalker/killer that he is and Lynsey continues to know. So Silas breaks into Lynsey’s room and places her watch on the bedside. I didn’t really get this until Cheryl says something about locks on the bedroom doors and you see that Lynsey has a chain on the inside of her bedroom door. At The Dog Lynsey and Cheryl are having lunch and Silas is putting up posters about the serial killer. There is a confrontation as there always is with these two and then Silas is all out of breath and falling over. At first I thought that this was all fake but then Cheryl convinces Lynsey to check on him being a nurse and all and we find out his heart rate is elevated. Then there is a creepy exchange where Silas all but admits that he broke into Lynsey’s room. So that’s that in this episode. I have a feeling a lot more is going to come from this.
On a related not, as in related to Cheryl who lives with Lynsey so not really related at all, there is a new twist to the ongoing Brendan Ste thing. We start with Brendan being all happy families with Declan but just as they are going out Cheryl shows up and remind Brendan that he has a meeting and can’t go to the park with his son. He gives Declan a football and sends him on his way to the park. After the meeting Ste passes by and Brendan tries to get a rise out of him. Shock upon shock, Ste resists and is as cool as a cucumber about it. We later find Ste in the park looking for Declan saying Brendan wants him. Declan convinces Ste to kick the football around with him after saying he will text his dad about it. He turns off his phone not texting Brendan at all! So Brendan turns up and warns Ste to stay away from his son and telling Declan that he doesn’t want him hanging out with people like Ste.
Today we also find out what’s up with Sinead and Bart. They are camping somewhere and Bart seems to be having second thoughts about how well they are doing. He then goes on to say he has to worry about everything because he is the man. Yeah so not buying that. Anyway guess who turns put? Only Jason in all his cool transgender glory. Okay so he comes bearing groceries and money. Sinead is not happy about this and wants to know how he found them and then becomes even more upset when she finds out that Bart told him. She storms off in a manner that just annoyed me really. So Jason and Bart have some bonding time and Bart admits that this is it and he is never going back to the village. Jason is shocked and says he thought Bart would change his mind. When they get back to the tent they find Sinead has bought some new clothes and she and Bart make up. After that Sinead confronts Jason and asks when he is leaving. Jason says he wanted to hang with them for a while but Sinead shows that while buying clothes she also bought Jason a train ticket for the next morning. She then goes on to say that between the two Bart will always choose her over Jason.
So today we basically confirm that Silas is the definition of creepy old guy, Brendan is going back in the closet, Ste has grown a backbone that is Brendan proof, Lynsey is going to have a break down, Jason is going to cause problems with Bart and Sinead and Declan is an enigma wrapped up in mystery.
